Emergency care for small animals
In an emergency, small animals should be brought directly to Garden Veterinary Group, where our 24-hour team will give your pet all the care and attention it needs. There is an additional fee for out-of-hours services.
Emergency care for large animals
Equine or farm animals will be attended in situ by the duty vet. An out-of-hours surcharge will apply.
OUR EMERGENCY CARE PROMISE
- Emergency appointments are available to every Garden Vet Group client, 24/7
- Telephone calls are always answered by a Garden Veterinary Group receptionist
- The duty vet will be a Garden Veterinary Group vet with full access to your pet’s medical records
- We do not use any deputising services, so your pet will be seen in a familiar and convenient surgery
Please be aware that seeing a vet out of hours will incur an additional charge. This is to cover the cost of 24-hour staff and operating our facilities outside the usual hours. When you ring Garden Veterinary Group in an emergency, charges will be communicated clearly before any treatment begins. For peace of mind, we recommend our clients consider taking out pet insurance to mitigate against any of the unexpected costs of emergency treatment.
