All our kennels are clean, warm and continually monitored by our teams of nurses. One of our kennels is adaptable, to create an oxygen therapy unit when required. In addition, Garden Veterinary Group features two state-of-the-art, heated, walk-in kennels, ideal for larger dogs. These are separated from our main kennel area, so that we can use them for isolation purposes too.
Operating theatre & prep room
The dedicated operating theatre at Garden Veterinary Group has been designed to maintain hygiene and allow ease of access for our diagnostic equipment. Staff numbers are restricted in this area of the practice to avoid contamination of surgical procedures. Our prep room is stocked with a constantly maintained supply of operating instruments, and provides a dedicated, hygienic space for pre-surgical preparation and assessment.
At Garden Veterinary Group we use the safest forms of pre-anaesthetic and anaesthetic agents during general anaesthesia to ensure the safety of our patients. Qualified staff will monitor your pet continually before, during and after a procedure, and all details are recorded. The advanced monitoring systems at Garden Veterinary Group allow us to measure various clinical parameters of the patients while anaesthetised. For our senior pets, we offer a pre-anaesthetic blood test to ensure internal organs are functioning correctly.
The laboratory at Garden Veterinary Group is equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic facilities, enabling us to perform the majority of our diagnostic tests in-house – so you won’t have a lengthy waiting time to find out the results of your pet’s tests. Our high-tech equipment includes analysers for electrolytes, biochemistry and haematology. We are also able to analyse urine samples, faeces, blood and tissue smears.
Digital X-ray, ECG & specialist ultrasound
Garden Veterinary Group has a suite of high-tech equipment at its disposal, meaning your pet can be examined as quickly and efficiently as possible. Our in-house radiology suite features a state-of-the-art digital X-ray machine, enabling our vets to obtain images extremely quickly, avoiding any delay in the treatment of your animal. We perform ECGs (electrocardiogram) in-house too, and have portable blood pressure machines to assist us in assessing an animal’s condition. We are also equipped with specialist ultrasonography equipment, and have a mobile scanner for large animal work.
