A personal service for the pets and owners of Wiltshire
If you’re looking for a veterinary practice that takes the time to get to know pets and owners properly, then you’ve come to the right place.
Individual care is our calling card, and we believe that a great veterinary team is one that tailors their service to the specific needs of every patient and client.
We’ve taken this friendly and personal approach since our practice was first established by Jim Garden in 1963, and our convenient location in Chippenham aims to provide a compassionate and comprehensive service for all.
Although we’ve gone by a number of different names over the years, we returned to the name Garden Vets in 2012, and we’ve only gone from strength to strength since then.
Our experienced and supportive team have a wide range of clinical interests and skills, and a great deal of experience and qualifications in areas such as medicine, diagnostic imaging, emergency critical care, dentistry and soft tissue surgery.
We work together to take the time to explain to owners all of their options and work to develop the best treatment plans for their pet, while respecting their needs and preferences.
You and your pet can make the most of a wide provision that encompasses everything from nurse clinics, routine vaccinations and dental care to advanced investigations in our in-house laboratory.
Lasting associations are something that we’re really proud of, and we have long-serving team members, many of whom have been with us for over 20 years.
That recently included a member of our team who gave our team 47 years of amazing service before retiring in 2020, while our clinical director Jane first joined us as a Saturday kennel assistant!
This extends to our longstanding involvement with our community, where you can find us sponsoring local events like the Canine Corsham initiative and working towards reducing the carbon footprint of our buildings.
You may know that we started life as a mixed practice. In 2020 we created Avon Farm Vets which has enabled us to focus on our small animal offering whilst ensuring that farm animals across the region are well cared for.
We’ve also joined forces with our neighbouring VetPartners practice Hale Veterinary Group to form Nightingale Emergency Vets, an impressive emergency and out of hours service based at Hale’s modern hospital site.
Whatever your pet’s needs, you can trust that our team will be there for you with a smile and support that works for you.
